Cleaning up the deck. The ship has a exhaust gas boiler and the tubes are blown twice a day. They're supposed to turn the ship perpendicular to the wind but it doesn't happen sometimes. Oops. Gotta clean the soot off the deck then, wet soot is corrosive.
