Work & Play

So I've just finished my first hitch working for Edison Chouest Offshore.  I'm working aboard a 320' Offshore Supply Vessel (OSV).  It been a good experience so far, it has a good crew and its been a great boat to learn on since I came aboard during a bit of a concentrated repair cycle.  Overall we have nine engines aboard, 2 Bergen Main engines, 3 Cat generators, 3 Cat thrusters, and the ever present Detroit emergency generator,  so there's always something to be working on.  I just talked to my friend Pete on the interweb today, he's also taking a job with Chouest and they told him we'd end up on the same boat.  I'm really looking forward to working with him.  This whole deal should be pretty much fun.
I'm hanging out in Maine right now visiting my girlfriend and other friends.  Its been pretty much fun but I'll be traveling south again in the next few days.  We'll see what happens.  I've been enjoying my time off but I need a project to work on so hopefully my webpages will get the needed attention that they need.  I've also been able to spend some much appreciated time reading.
